Public Act 101-0221 amended the Illinois Human Rights Act (“IHRA”) requiring:

Illinois employers to provide annual sexual harassment prevention training by December 31, 2020 and annually thereafter.

The Illinois Human Rights Act considers the following a civil rights violation: An employer, employee, agent of any employer, employment agency or labor organization engages in sexual harassment. [775 ILCS 5/2-102(D)]

Each employer must provide employees with sexual harassment prevention training that complies with section 2-109 of the Illinois Human Rights Act (IHRA).

Regardless of status (i.e. short-term, part-time, or intern), all employees are to be trained. This also includes independent contractors working on-site.

In accordance with the Public Act 100-076, all licensed professionals with continuing education requirements now must complete at least one hour of sexual harassment prevention training.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to print your certification, fulfilling 1 CEU.
