Dental AssistEd is a PACE-accredited and state-approved dental assistant training school serving Illinois and Indiana. We offer monthly certification courses for practicing dental assistants as well as an 8-week Become a Dental Assistant program for career changers.
Our training center is located at 8755 West Higgins Rd, Chicago, IL 60631. The facility offers modern classrooms and hands-on clinical training space.
We offer courses every month. Unlike most schools that run classes quarterly, Dental AssistEd ensures you can start your certification without a long wait.
To enroll in our Coronal Polishing certification course, you must have a minimum of 1,000 hours (about 6 months) of clinical experience, OR have completed a CODA-accredited dental assisting program, OR hold a DANB CDA certification.
No prior experience is needed. Our Become a Dental Assistant program is an 8-week hybrid program designed for beginners and career changers. We take you from zero experience to career-ready certification.
Most courses are available in both states including Coronal Polishing and Sealants, EFDA Restorative, and the Become a Dental Assistant program. Coronal Scaling is available in Illinois only.
Coronal Polishing and Sealant courses start at $375, the Combo is $650, Coronal Scaling is $2,700, EFDA Restorative is $3,700, and the Become a Dental Assistant program is $3,700.
WIOA grant funding is available for eligible students enrolling in the Become a Dental Assistant program through the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership. Contact us to learn more about qualifying.

Job placement assistance is available for graduates of the Become a Dental Assistant program only. We connect graduates with dental offices across Illinois and Indiana that are actively hiring. This service is not included with individual certification courses.
Certifications in Coronal Polishing, Sealants, and EFDA allow dental assistants to perform expanded functions and qualify for higher-paying roles. Graduates of the Become a Dental Assistant program are fully prepared to enter the workforce as certified dental assistants.
